Ponder Residency

For the Ponder Residency, we do not impose any expectations of productivity on the artists. There are no project or production requirements. We think it's important to normalize rest, idea generation, gestation, and time for artists to just be present without the expectations of output. As artists ourselves, we understand how important it is to plant the seeds of creativity and to have time to explore and cultivate ideas.

  • 1-week creative residencies.

  • Residencies take place from April - Oct, with the option for on-site accommodations in our Creekside Caravan

  • Use of indoor studio, outdoor nature library, bathroom, kitchenette,  treehouse, Book Shed, woven willow den, and on-site equipment.

  • The use of 4.5 acres of private property without the worry or concern of projects being disturbed.

  • This is a solitary residency with only one resident at a time.

  • Residency plus accommodations - Stay onsite in our Creekside Caravan - 1-week residency $475.00

  • Residency only - A great option for locals or those who prefer more traditional lodging - 1-week residency $375.00

“The Verdancy Project is a thoughtfully designed residency in a beautiful setting. There are so many spaces in which to wander, work, rest, and be curious. It was a peaceful container to unplug from schedules and obligations and slow down my sense of time.
