Health & Safety
We align with federal, state, and local guidelines to mitigate as many risks as possible in creating a healthy and safe (and fun!) environment to work and create.
GENERAL SAFETY INFORMATION:
We are in a natural rural area. There is a lot of uneven terrain. While the landscape is beautiful, there are things to be cautious of. Although we try and manage it, there is still a good amount of blackberry on the property. Himalayan blackberries have nasty thorns that can hurt. We also have a lot of stinging nettles. Please also be aware that we have a log hive on-site with honeybees. If you are allergic, please let us know. In general, the bees will not sting if not agitated.
Most of our programing depends on interaction with nature, and we want to make sure you are prepared for the experience.
Even with the best preparation, we must acknowledge that nature is unpredictable! Our residency director and workshop leaders will do their best to keep you safe, but we will require that you sign a liability waiver and assumption of risk agreement before participating in any TVP residency or workshop.
COVID-19 PROTOCOL FOR OUR WORKSHOPS:
If you are sick or are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 or have been in contact with anyone who is sick/experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 in the past 12 days, please do not attend. Send us an email, and you will be offered a credit.
Outdoor classes are limited to 12 participants.
We will thoroughly sanitize the studio and tools before and after each workshop and have an increased cleaning protocol (bathrooms, etc.) in place. We will have plenty of soap and hand sanitizer on hand and provide disposable masks for those who wish or need to use them.
COVID-19 PROTOCOL FOR OUR RESIDENCIES:
If you are sick or are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 or have been in contact with anyone who is sick/experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 in the past 12 days, please do not come to TVP.
