Alice Christine Walker - She/Her
Inspired by Adrian Tchaikovsky's "Children of Time," my installation “Web of Transcendence” is rooted in the realms of Science Fiction. My art takes the form of a human-sized spider web, an embodiment of the novel's exploration of unintended consequences in a future where terraforming technology grants spiders an unexpected sentience. Through this immersive creation, I invite viewers to contemplate a society where communication transcends the confines of human language, resonating instead through vibrations. By challenging primal fears and questioning the limits of our perception, my art evokes a profound curiosity about our own senses and our deep fear of “otherness”.
